Over the years, Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber have considered numerous places as their "home," imbuing their properties with an exquisite aesthetic. Crawford revealed to AD in 2019 that her deep appreciation for beautiful interiors has its roots in her childhood and has continued to influence her into adulthood. She explained, "As a model, you're constantly on the move, so your home becomes your small cocoon and sanctuary."
Crawford and Gerber previously owned this home in Los Cabos, Mexico.
As a result, each of the properties that she and Gerber have jointly acquired has served this purpose for both of them and their children, Presley and Kaia. Crawford shared with AD, "I prioritize comfort and the overall feel of things. My husband, on the other hand, might prioritize appearance over functionality, but I wouldn't. I believe that's my practical mom mentality... When my kids were young, I would think, 'Can a child make a mess here?' It had to pass that test." Below, we've compiled a list of some of the couple's most luxurious residences, all of which are situated across the continental United States, Canada, and Mexico.
1990s
One of the initial houses that Crawford and Gerber acquired together following their marriage in 1998 was a $1.85 million residence located in Malibu. This Spanish-style property, positioned right on the edge of the Pacific Ocean, provided breathtaking views and spacious, light-filled interiors that opened onto a deck with glass railings. The dwelling spanned 2,412 square feet and featured four bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms. In 2019, the couple listed the property for $7.495 million, and nearly a year later, a buyer committed to purchasing it for $6.5 million. However, when the COVID-19 pandemic struck, the buyer had to withdraw from the transaction. Crawford and Gerber, showing exceptional generosity, canceled the sale and even refunded the deposit, expressing solidarity by saying that everyone was "in this together." It remains uncertain whether the property was subsequently sold.

For a significant portion of Cindy Crawford's supermodel career, she relished the vibrant ambiance of downtown Manhattan, characterized by its gritty art scene and trendy dining establishments. However, her perspective shifted after marrying Gerber, who persuaded her to relocate to an Upper East Side residence they acquired for an undisclosed sum. She shared her transformation with AD in 2001, saying, "Within a week of moving in, I became a complete convert. Not only can I take my little boy to Central Park every day, but I adore my apartment. It's my refuge from the hustle and bustle of Manhattan." Collaborating with California-based designer Michael S. Smith, the couple embarked on renovations, with particular emphasis on reimagining the kitchen and dining room. The majority of the home was adorned with an appreciation for old New York, imparting a timeless ambiance. It remains uncertain whether the couple continues to own this property.
Early 2000s

In the early 2000s, Crawford and Gerber elevated their long-standing friendship with George Clooney by embarking on the construction of a vacation compound situated on Mexico's Baja California peninsula. Originally, the plan was to create a single grand vacation residence for the three friends to share. However, they ultimately opted for the construction of two adjacent houses, separated by a single gate. This decision was made to accommodate their differing lifestyle needs, considering that Clooney was a bachelor at the time, while the Crawford-Gerber family included two preteens.
Their portion of the compound featured a palette of neutral tones, integrated furniture, a spacious sunlit courtyard, and Spanish limestone accents throughout. They collaborated with Ricardo Legorreta's architectural firm to craft these breathtaking residences. Victor, one of the founder's sons, conveyed to AD, "They desired homes that exuded elegance, akin to works of art, yet still made you feel at ease strolling around barefoot and in swimwear."
In 2016, the couple, along with Clooney, reportedly sold their cherished retreat, known as Casamigos, for a staggering $100 million.
2008
In 2008, the couple turned their attention to the northern regions, acquiring a seven-acre parcel of land on a granite island in central Ontario, the purchase price of which remains undisclosed. At that time, the property housed a dilapidated fishing cabin with linoleum floors, a structure that Crawford and Gerber demolished to make way for a more contemporary and rustic home.
From the images shared by the supermodel on her Instagram account, it's evident that the cabin boasts a lakefront dock, providing direct access to the water. Inside, dark wood paneling complements expansive windows designed to invite the gentle breeze indoors. Crawford previously conveyed to Vogue, "The idea here is to slow everything down. Life may be fast-paced, but it can pause." The couple, along with their children, still frequently enjoy their time at this lakeside retreat.

Crawford and Gerber expanded their property portfolio in Malibu by acquiring a four-bedroom, six-bathroom residence. This contemporary Mediterranean-style property gained attention when it was featured in Crawford's "73 Questions" interview for Vogue, offering fans an exclusive tour. Some of the notable highlights included an open-plan family room and kitchen adorned in cream and navy blue hues, a spacious patio overlooking the Pacific Ocean with a swimming pool positioned one level below, and Crawford's office, featuring two fireplaces and expansive bay windows.
Just a year later, they listed the property for $60 million and eventually secured a sale for $45 million in 2018. Surprisingly, the property re-entered the market earlier this year with an astounding asking price of $99.5 million.
2016
In 2016, following the sale of their Mexican villa, the couple reportedly acquired a luxury condo located in Manhattan's Midtown East neighborhood. Interestingly, it was situated exactly one floor above their longtime friend, Clooney, and his wife, Amal. Although the sale price remains undisclosed, considering the condo building's development by Aby Rosen and its array of high-end amenities, including a 60-foot sunlit swimming pool, steam room, and spa, it's safe to assume the price tag was substantial. As of the latest information available, the couple still retains ownership of this condo.
2017
When the musician and OneRepublic singer-songwriter Ryan Tedder listed his midcentury-modern residence in Beverly Hills in 2017, Crawford and Gerber purchased it for $11.625 million. This stylish property boasted five bedrooms, five-and-a-half bathrooms, and spanned 5,386 square feet at the time of their acquisition. The residence featured a bank of accordion-fold and sliding glass doors opening onto a grassy courtyard, a picturesque dining pavilion, a swimming pool, and a built-in firepit. Crawford shared, "It's been fun putting it through our own filter because some of the midcentury stuff is too low or not comfortable," referring to their interior decorating efforts. The house, originally built in 1959, was eventually sold for $13.5 million in 2021, after spending more than a year on the market.
2019
In 2019, after spending considerable time on both coasts, the couple ventured into desert living by purchasing a getaway in the Coachella Valley for $5.4 million. Located in La Quinta, California, the property offered four bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms across 6,000 square feet of living space. The single-story residence featured stone floors, high ceilings, a wine cellar in the dining room, and floor-to-ceiling glass panels that facilitated seamless outdoor-indoor living. A zero-edge swimming pool and outdoor stone fireplace created an ideal setting for warm evenings and entertaining. Crawford expressed her affinity for the desert, stating, "That's a different kind of inspiration for a design... The powerful beauty of the mountains is always there, and it's a different kind of feeling." The couple still owns this residence.
2020
In 2020, toward the end of the year, Crawford and Gerber acquired a waterfront property in an exclusive area of Miami Beach for $9.625 million. This midcentury-modern dwelling encompassed 3,803 square feet and occupied a 0.39-acre lot, offering more than 100 feet of direct water frontage and unobstructed bay views. The charming home featured a slanted wood-slat ceiling, exposed brick walls, and ceramic tile floors, creating a blend of textures and angles that drew one's gaze upwards and outwards, where water could be seen through every window.
